As a member of the USAMU, Chuck Gartland built the Nesika Bay long range rifles we used to set two national long range team records in the Romanian and Herrick team matches. I fired 200-14x at 1,000 yards with both iron sights and scope sights. You can count on Chuck to build you the same quality guns as he did for us.

I have been an international competitive shooter for over 20 years, and have had my share of gun problems. One of the primary components of maintaining confidence in my sport is to have good equipment, but guns are not failsafe. I have to have complete confidence in the person who works on my guns, when they malfunction. I never wavered in my concentration during competition worrying about whether my gun would continue to work after being repaired by the armorer. For many years, that armorer for me was Chuck Gartland. I never questioned or was apprehensive about Chuck’s work, because once he fixed my gun, I knew that it would work.  It is like a good car repairman…you never want to keep taking your car back to the repair shop for the same problem, and you do not want it to break down at the most inopportune time.
